It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of one of our partners, David Johns, who passed away on March 24, 2013 after a short illness.
David had been practicing law for the past 40 years. He was one of the founding partners of our firm in 1983, with preferred areas of practice in wills, estates and trusts, corporate and commercial law and real estate. Mr. Johns was a dedicated and long-time volunteer and he remained active in various local organizations throughout his career. He was a member of the Board of Camosun College and the Police Board of Victoria. He was involved with the Royal and MacPherson Theatres Society, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Habitat for Humanity, and the Pacific Sport Institute Society. He also served on the Vandekerkhove Family Foundation, Silver Threads Service, the Irving K. Barker British Columbia Scholarship Fund, and the Kiwanis Club.
It was an honour to work with David over the years. He will be remembered for his commitment to service through both his law career and his other various contributions to the community around him.
