Counsel on an ad hoc basis, that is under contract, for the Municipality of Saanich to prosecute bylaw offences

Counsel on an ad hoc basis including a six month contract in 1979 for the Province of British Columbia to prosecute Criminal Code offences in Provincial Court and Supreme Court, with ad hoc contracts continuing for a period of more than 20 years

Counsel on a contract basis for the Federal Department of Justice to prosecute

Extensive experience in civil litigation since 1977 including:

- commercial and corporate litigation
- personal injury claims
- real estate construction disputes of all kinds
- negligence claims including professional negligence
- defamation
- intellectual property disputes
- estate litigation
- breach of contract disputes of all kinds
- claims for breach of fiduciary duty involving trusts, estates, contractors, real estate agents and others
- breach of trust claims

Clientele in civil claims has included large financial institutions, information technology corporations, owners, developers, contractors, trustees including trustees of a large union pension fund and the injured parties and defendants in civil claims included in the areas noted above

Qualified mediator with a certificate in Advanced Commercial Mediation from 1995

Counsel for clientele in mediations and arbitrations in the areas of personal injury and real estate disputes

Extensive experience in criminal defence work since 1977 including the defence of first degree murder cases and commercial crimes
