Peter R. Lawless
BA - UVic 1997, DPSM - UVic 1998, LLB - UBC 2001; MA – RMC 2008; Called to the British Columbia Bar 2002. Mr. Lawless' preferred areas of practice are general civil litigation and sports/recreation law. In addition to being a lawyer he is a graduate of the National Coaching Institute in Victoria with a diploma in High Performance Coaching and is a Chartered Professional Coach. Peter has represented coaches and athletes and sports organizations in selection disputes, harassment claims and with CCES. Peter also conducts anti-doping matters for CCES before the Doping Tribunal and has appeared before the International Court of Arbitration for Sport. Peter currently coaches several elite athletes including World Championships and Paralympic Games medalists. Peter also holds a reserve commission in the Canadian Forces as a Lieutenant (Navy). Peter is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association, the Trial Lawyers Association of BC and is the Treasurer of the Canadian Bar Association Civil Litigation Section (Vancouver Island). Peter also sits on the Board of Directors of the Coaches Association of BC and of Coaches of Canada (the national professional coaches association).

Nan K.P. Aulakh

Ms. Aulakh's preferred areas of practice are corporate and commercial law, wills and estates and real estate law. In addition to her solicitor's practice, Nan has years of litigation experience including federal crown prosecutions, mediation and general civil litigation. Nan regularly authors and presents seminars to clients on a variety of subjects. She is a past board member of the Victoria Women's Transition House Society and has participated as a director or member in various organizations such as East Kootenay Community Futures, Cranbrook Women's Resource Society and Vancouver Island Cooperative Preschool Association. Ms. Aulakh was also the founding member of a multicultural resource organization for women in the East Kootenays. Nan is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.

Maureen Abraham
LLB - UBC 2006; Called to the British Columbia Bar 2008. Ms. Abraham articled with Johns Southward and subsequent to her call to the Bar in January 2008 she joined the litigation department where she is developing a general civil litigation practice. Maureen is a past Member of the Board of Trustees, Student Nurses for Clean Drinks Society, and was a volunteer for the Centre for Feminist Legal Studies (UBC), co-editor of The Legal Eye (UBC Law student-run newspaper). Melanie Duggan

Robert W. Carfra
