CANADIAN FORCES - MARITIME COMMAND
Commanding Officer of various Canadian Forces Tender Class Vessels responsible for the safety of the crew and the ship at all times and the training of the crew and Officer complement. This position involves going to sea primarily on weekends and conducting various military training exercises. This command position includes responsibility for all aspects of vessel logistics including passage planning, rationing and storing as well as administrative responsibility for staff promotions. Given my current level of seniority I am primarily tasked with the additional duty of being the "Officer in Tactical Command" of the entire squadron which results in a significant increase in my organizational, administrative and logistical responsibilities.
1998 - presentBC WHEELCHAIR SPORTS
Provincial Coach for Athletics for BC Wheelchair Sports. This volunteer position includes doing physical assessments as well as developing both annual and competition plans for a variety of athletes with a broad range of disabilities throughout the province. 
Head Coach of the Provincial Team at both the Western Canada Summer Games in 1999 and 2003 and the Canada Summer Games in 2001 and am currently appointed for the Canada Games in 2005. I have also taken various members of the Provincial team to the annual National Team Training Camp for BC and attended the World Championships in Lille, France in July of 2002 as a Coach with the Canadian National Team and the 2004 Paralympics Games in Athens, Greece. 
One of only two wheelchair athletics coaches to ever be certified at Level 4 of the National Coaching Certification Program and hold the professional designation ChPC as a Chartered Professional Coach.

Event Group Leader for Athletics Canada's Paralympics Program working particularly in the areas of athlete and coach development, coach education and national team programs as well as the general advancement Paralympics athletics.
1997 - presentNCCP COURSE CONDUCTOR
One of a very select few National Coaching Certification Program Course Conductors who travels around Vancouver Island delivering the NCCP program to the many small communities where there would otherwise be no coach education taking place. A significant component of this program involves the issue of ethics in sport.

Vancouver Island nominee to the Provincial Board of PacificSport. PacificSport's mission is to create a dynamic environment for sport performance at all levels by integrating world-class Athlete Services, Coaching Excellence and long-term Sport Development initiatives. 
Chaired the standing sub-committee on Governance and the Integration sub-committee. 
Chair of the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Island region of PacificSport.
