Shaun is a senior associate in the firm’s litigation group. He has a wide range of experience in commercial and civil litigation matters, having appeared before all levels of Court in British Columbia, the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Manitoba Court of King’s Bench, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, the British Columbia and Alberta Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunals, the Canadian Transportation Agency, and the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada.

 

Shaun regularly represents and advises clients in relation to commercial and civil disputes, administrative proceedings, municipal disputes, employment matters, and class actions. He is a frequent speaker at conferences, teaches legal courses at post-secondary institutions, and authors pieces for industry publications such as BarTalk and Lexology.

 

Before law school, Shaun completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UVIC and worked for several years at a start-up technology company in Victoria. He began his legal career at a full-service Vancouver-based Canadian law firm. After nine years in Vancouver, he and his family have returned to Victoria. Shaun is an avid soccer player and fan, having played for and coached the British Columbia Lawyers’ Soccer Team, where he competed in Spain at the 2016 Mundiavocat, the “Lawyers’ International World Cup”.
