Eric is a member of the solicitor’s practice group, and focuses on business and real estate acquisitions and financing, business structures and business succession planning, and development and construction of real estate and infrastructure projects. Eric endeavours to provide strategic and practical business advice and, ultimately, solve legal problems. With his experience as general counsel for a large, Vancouver-based real estate development and construction company, Eric has unique insight into the challenges faced by business owners, and always tries to identify solutions as well as legal and transactional risks.
Eric is a member of the Finance Committee of the SMUS Board of Governors, and also plays men’s soccer for the Castway Wanderers club and is an avid skiier. He has also served as a Trustee of the Victoria Civic Heritage Fund, a director of the Friends of the Royal BC Museum Foundation, a trustee of the St. Michaels University School Alumni Association and is a long-time member of the Victoria rugby and soccer communities.
